About Me
That’s more than a job description. It’s who I am. Cut me, and I bleed metaphors. I can’t avoid writing, any more than I can avoid breathing. It’s my addiction, my passion, my “thing.” Words are my Legos. For most of my life, I’ve been connecting them, building and creating with them. And I’ve been at it long enough to earn a living from it.
I have wordsmithed content for websites, written training curricula, and put together corporate presentations; crafted team-building newsletters; produced copy for print, radio and television; written product catalogs, brochures, slogans, and speeches. I even wrote a script for a fund-raising video, and another for a play.
I’ve written for and consulted with all kinds of organizations, too. Corporations and non-profit groups. Hi-tech industry and high-profile ministry. Retail and industrial. National and local. From fledgling to Fortune 500.
I love, live for, the creative process. But, as much as I relish the creative process for its own sake, I especially enjoy harnessing it to help people and businesses succeed. I am living proof that art and business need not be regarded as mutually exclusive endeavors.
As for my formal education, I have a BA in Advertising (with a minor in English) and a Masters in Theology. I credit the latter for taking my research, writing and speaking skills beyond what I thought was achievable. There’s just something about translating Greek and Hebrew that deepens one’s appreciation for verbal clarity.
I would tell you about my wife and kids, but there’ s not nearly enough space here to adequately sing their praises. That will require a website all their own.
